Desktop Lights is designed to decorate your Mac without watching what you do on it. The app does not capture your screen, read your documents, track your activity, or sell personal information.

Information stored on your Mac

The app stores your selected collection, light style, colors, animation, placement, keyboard shortcut, launch preference, and purchase-entitlement state locally on your Mac. This is used only to remember your settings and provide selected features.

App Store purchases

Purchases made in the Mac App Store are processed by Apple. Desktop Lights receives the product identifier and transaction status needed to unlock or restore a purchase. We do not receive or store your Apple ID, payment-card details, or billing information.

Network information

Apple and hosting providers may process standard technical request information such as an IP address, request time, and app or browser information when providing App Store, website, or support services.

Website

The website has no user accounts or advertising tracking. It may load Google Fonts, which can cause standard request information to be processed by Google under its privacy terms.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information is shared only as necessary for purchases, licensing, hosting, updates, support, or legal obligations. Local settings remain until reset or removed. License records are retained only as reasonably needed to provide access, prevent abuse, resolve support issues, and meet legal obligations.

Children, security, and changes

Desktop Lights is not directed to children under 13. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We may update this policy as the product evolves and will revise the date above.
